Empty Spaces was our debut album, born from a combination of enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong determination to bring our musical vision to life. Although our experience with recording equipment was still limited at the time, our passion for music and experimentation drove us forward. The project began in the studio of our friend Christian, who introduced us to the fundamentals of recording and production. Inspired by those first sessions, Andrea later assembled a small home setup, affectionately called the “Microstudio”. Equipped with just a few expanders, a keyboard, and a mixer, we had everything we needed to start shaping our sound. As the album developed, Andrea invited our friend Giovanni “Alabamas” to contribute to the recordings. His electric bass and guitar parts added depth and energy to the tracks, while Flavio focused on the lyrics and vocal performances, giving voice to the album’s themes and emotions. Completed in December 2000, Empty Spaces consists of five tracks, including one instrumental piece. The release also coincided with the launch of our first website and the Album was named after one of the songs featured on the album. Despite its modest scale, Empty Spaces carries a message that remains deeply relevant today: a call to future generations to believe in peace, hope, and positive change. Through its lyrics, the album encourages listeners not to accept a future of conflict and destruction as inevitable, but instead to work toward a better world built on responsibility, solidarity, and respect for humanity. Musically and lyrically, Empty Spaces represents the first step in our journey—a record created with limited resources but unlimited passion, laying the foundations for the space-rock direction that would later become a defining element of our sound.
